SAFETY:

It is the Company’s policy to provide a safe and healthful workplace, including monitoring and complying with applicable federal and state laws and regulations.

Specific safety and health rules will be posted, and all employees are required to be familiar with the Company’s safety policies, which are outlined in the Safety Manual. Each employee is responsible for remaining aware of and following safe
working practices and safety procedures. Failure to follow safety and health rules may result in discipline up to and including termination.

• Report any unsafe conditions or practices immediately to your supervisor.

• Report all personal injuries to your supervisor immediately, even when the injury seems slight. Be equally certain to alert your  supervisor if you become sick on the  job. A neglected injury or illness can become a major medical problem resulting in a painful and costly situation.

• Everyone is expected to wear safe clothing that will adequately protect the individual for the type of work he/she is performing.

• Safety shoes that meet OSHA standards are required.

• Employees are required to keep their work area clean and free from hazard.

• Use proper tools and equipment for the job and use them correctly as specified by your supervisor or the equipment manufacturer. Should you need to use tools you are not familiar with, contact your supervisor for training.

• Never remove a guard or safety device from a piece of equipment. Report any broken or missing devices immediately.

• Horseplay and practical jokes are prohibited as they often lead to injury.

• Smoking is prohibited except in designated areas.

• A complete Safety Policy and Employee Right to Know information is contained in the City Garage Safety Manual. Each employee is responsible for reading and understanding this information.

OSHA Adopted the Globally Harmonized System which all manufacturers and employers must use and train their people on the new system.  Below is the required documents to train each of our employees on the new system.  Each City Garage Employee must go through the slide show to familiarize themselves with the new program.  After viewing the slideshow, each City Garage employee must print, sign and send the form back to corporate.  If you have any questions please feel free to ask your operations supervisor, Chuck Hoffman, Philip Bell or Keith Shaulis.
